Middle East tensions escalate
Reported by Göksu Başaran
Tensions across the Middle East are entering a new phase. Following retaliatory strikes by Iran, the conflict has expanded across several fronts in the region, with drone and missile attacks reported by multiple countries.
The United States has moved to close its embassies in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait citing security concerns. Meanwhile, Israel said it carried out new strikes on high-profile targets in Tehran.
Hezbollah also claimed it launched drone attacks targeting Israel. As the conflict enters its fourth day, the death toll continues to rise, including reported casualties among U.S. service members.
Donald Trump stated that U.S. forces have the capability to continue operations against Iran longer than the initially projected timeframe. The U.S. Department of State has also urged Americans in more than a dozen Middle Eastern countries to leave the region immediately.
