The independent Turkish web series Koza, which focuses on the lives and struggles of transgender women in Turkey, is reportedly preparing for a new production process for 2027. First released in 2021, the project attracted attention for addressing themes such as social exclusion, identity, invisibility, and solidarity through an independent digital storytelling approach.

The project had previously entered an early production phase, and a trailer for the series had already been filmed. However, the production was left unfinished due to financial difficulties and the inability to secure sufficient sponsorship support at the time.

According to emerging details, the new version of “Koza series” is being developed with a darker, more realistic, and psychologically intense narrative style. The production is expected to explore themes including migration, loneliness, invisible labor, social pressure, and identity conflicts within urban life.

The project will once again be produced by Göksu Başaran. However, unlike the original version, Başaran is not expected to appear on screen in the upcoming production.

Sources close to the project state that preparations for a renewed cast and technical crew are currently underway, while further details regarding the platform and production schedule are expected to be announced in the coming period.
